“My research goal is to understand how to interfere with mechanisms of immune regulation for improving the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy. I identify new immunotherapeutic targets and biomarkers by investigating the role of conventional and non-conventional immunosuppressive T cells in the resistance to immune co-stimulation and checkpoint blockade therapies. I plan to set up my own lab to leverage these mechanistic insights in a highly translational research program.”
