“My research is focused on deciphering the epigenetic mechanisms of disease progression from a benign plexiform neurofibroma to the highly aggressive and metastatic malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) in patients diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). My long-term career goal is to integrate my skills, knowledge, and experience to lead a research group focused on understanding novel epigenetic mechanisms of NF1 tumor progression. We present here the epigenetic consequences of PRC2 loss on activating oncogenes in MPNST.”
