Accommodations and Travel


The AACR has recently been notified that some conference registrants are being solicited by an unauthorized company trying to obtain credit card information by phone and email to secure housing accommodations at this conference. All information regarding travel and housing accommodations is available on this webpage. The AACR will not contact you by phone or email requesting credit card information. Accommodations

The conference will be held at Hyatt Regency Orlando in Orlando, Florida. Hyatt Regency Orlando is located approximately 12.3 miles away from Orlando International Airport (MCO). A reduced conference rate of $234 per night is available to conference attendees until Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Reservations may be made online or by calling 402-593-5048 and requesting the AACR Microbiome, Viruses, and Cancer conference rate. The hotel will accept reservations at the reduced conference rate on a space-available basis until the cut-off date. Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the nearest available rate. Applied to the room charge will be state and local taxes, currently 13.625%. Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card and accompanied by a first night deposit at the time of reservation. Cancellations will be accepted at no charge 72 hours in advance of arrival. Note that check-in time is 3 p.m., and check-out time is 11 a.m.


Travel to Orlando

The closest major airport to the conference site is the Orlando International Airport (MCO), located approximately 12.3 miles from the Hyatt Regency Orlando. Ground Transportation

A variety of ground transportation options are available upon arrival, including taxi service, private car service, Uber, car rentals, and shared shuttles. Taxi service between the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Hyatt Regency Orlando is approximately $42.00-52.00 one way, plus gratuity. International Travel

Researchers from more than 50 different countries around the world regularly participate in AACR meetings and conferences. The Association encourages and appreciates the contributions of international researchers at our programs. If you plan to attend this AACR conference, please contact the American Consulate in your country to review the current regulations for travel to the United States. Obtaining the proper documentation may take several weeks or months, depending on your location, so we encourage you to contact the consulate as soon as possible if you are considering attending this conference.
