World AIDS Day (December 1, 2022)
The AACR recognizes December 1 as World AIDS Day, a time to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and the impact of this virus. According to the National Cancer Institute, people infected with HIV at a greater risk of some type of cancers and are linked to an increased risk of dying from cancer compared with uninfected people of the same age. We encourage leaders in the field to get involved and join AACR in the global conquest of cancer.

Scholar Awards are available for participation of full-time minority faculty, faculty at Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs), and early-career minority researchers in the AACR Annual Meeting 2023.
