I am currently a senior PhD student in the Department of Immunology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. I study under Dr. Scott Abrams investigating immature myeloid differentiation in solid tumors and how to mitigate myeloid suppression in order to enhance novel immunotherapies. I am committed to continuing cancer research at MD Anderson where I will work under the mentorship of Drs. Stephanie Watowich and Jim Allison funded by the NCI F99/K00 Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award. My long-term research goals aim to improve current standard-of-care therapies and enhance survival in patients with hard-to-treat malignancies. I am also passionate about teaching and aspire to mentor the next generation of cancer scientists.
As an AACR Associate Membership Council affiliate, I work closely with motivated peers to push the boundaries of cancer research and provide opportunities for young cancer scientists to succeed.
