I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Translational Research in Multidisciplinary Program (TRIUMPH) conducting research in the Department of Immunology at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. I study under Dr. Stephanie S. Watowich and Dr. James P. Allison investigating myeloid differentiation in solid tumors and how to mitigate myeloid suppression in order to enhance novel immunotherapies. My work is funded by the NIH/NCI F99/K00 Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award. My long-term research goals aim to improve current standard-of-care therapies and enhance survival in patients with hard-to-treat malignancies. I am also passionate about teaching and aspire to mentor the next generation of cancer scientists.
As an AACR Associate Membership Council affiliate, I work closely with motivated peers to push the boundaries of cancer research and provide opportunities for young cancer scientists to succeed.
