Biostatistics in Cancer Research Task Force
The AACR Biostatistics Task Force has been established to address the critical and expanding role of biostatistics in cancer research. As advances in data science, precision medicine, and clinical trial design continue to transform the research landscape, the task force will provide strategic guidance to strengthen the integration of biostatistics across AACR’s scientific and programmatic activities.
The group aims to advance statistical rigor and innovation in clinical trials, promote high-quality and reproducible analytical standards, and support the development of the next generation of cancer biostatisticians. In addition, the task force will foster collaborative, team-based science that bridges biostatistics with laboratory, translational, clinical, and population research, including emerging areas such as multi-omics and real-world data.
Through these efforts, the task force seeks to enhance AACR’s leadership and visibility in biostatistics, ensuring that cancer research is supported by robust, innovative, and impactful quantitative methodologies.
