“Growing up in resource-constrained settings, I witnessed the profound impact of late cancer diagnoses and limited treatment options, particularly for childhood blood cancers. My primary focus is going into a PhD in Biomedical
sciences to investigate the role of epigenetic modifications in the tumorigenesis of blood cancers. By understanding these modifications, I expect to uncover novel regulatory mechanisms that contribute to cancer susceptibility and progression.”
