What are your long-term career objectives?

“I am a tribal member of the Navajo Nation and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. My research uses community-engaged research to study the causes of stomach cancer, such as lifestyle and pathogenic factors (i.e., Helicobacter pylori infections), in Native American communities to identify cancer prevention strategies and improve gastrointestinal health. My career goal is to become an independent cancer researcher addressing gastrointestinal cancer disparities in Native American communities.”

Abstract #3944: Addressing stomach cancer disparities by assessing Helicobacter pylori infections among American Indian adults from the Navajo Nation.
