What are your long-term career objectives?

“My career goal is to work as a formulation scientist specializing in developing targeted nano-delivery systems for gastrointestinal cancers. To achieve this, I am currently optimizing the delivery of two novel chemotherapeutic agents in pancreatic cancer cells and patient-derived xenograft tumor models. I have also worked on investigating the role of pharmacogenomics on pancreatic cancer survival by race. I also hope to use my expertise to train other minority researchers in various techniques employed in the nano-delivery of drugs to cancer cells and tissues. In the long term, I plan to transition from formulation to regulatory science in oncology ultimately.”
