What are your long-term career objectives?

“My research goals aim to further comprehend the role of the microbiome in shaping cancer patient therapeutic outcomes. My thesis work delves into using bacterial species and bacterial-derived metabolites to enhance triple-negative breast cancer treatment effectiveness. My long-term career objectives are to augment my fundamental scientific expertise with medical training, ultimately serving as a physician-scientist conducting translational oncology research, mentoring the next generation of cancer researchers, and making a difference in the lives of patients.”

Abstract #1423: Harnessing the gut microbiome to modulate immune checkpoint blockade response in triple-negative breast cancer.
