Abstract 5181. The association of metformin dose and cancer survival in older adults with advanced cancer: SEER-Medicare analysis.

What are your long-term career objectives?

My long-term career objectives are to gain tenure at UF and continue working to reduce type 2 diabetes and cancer health disparities and improve health outcomes in disadvantaged populations with a special interest in the American Indian population.

Please share information about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted your research over the last two years.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted my research in several ways. First, the pandemic has delayed my research with tribal collaborators due to the severe impact it has had on the health and well-being of the tribes. Additionally, it has made it difficult to recruit participants to clinical studies due to suspension of studies, social distancing, and participants’ reluctance to participate.
