What are your long-term goals?
My long-term goal is to continue contributing to our collective understanding of molecular mechanisms that contribute to chemotherapy resistance in the context of health disparities. Another goal is to mentor younger generations, especially those from an underrepresented backgrounds interested in biomedical research.
Please share information about how the pandemic has impacted your research over the last two years.
Some of the main factors that have impacted my research due to the pandemic have been the temporary closure of our laboratory at the beginning of the pandemic and the shortage in lab supplies which have delayed my research. Also, the inability to attend in-person meetings has reduced the input received during presentations of my dissertation project.
