Katie Coleman

Katie is a software engineer, podcaster, author, and stage IV cancer survivor. Diagnosed with an ultra-rare kidney cancer in December 2020, she had a tumor on her right kidney and more than fifteen tumors in her liver. Her determination to learn about her diagnosis combined with the power of community and social media led to a life-altering surgery in June of 2021. Since then, Katie has dedicated her life to sharing those learnings with other patients to help improve the experience for those that will come behind her. She founded the Chromophobe and Oncocytic Tumor Alliance, joined the Rare Cancer Research Foundation, and has authored Too Young For Cancer.
