I was drawn to the field of cancer epidemiology through my desire to research health disparities in cancer and to understand how modifiable health behaviors can influence cancer risk and survival. After completing my pre-and post-doctoral training in epidemiology, I plan to transition to a research role where I can design and conduct studies centered on understanding cancer etiology and survivorship, with a focus on underserved populations.
