Educational workshops and special courses provide early-career investigators with opportunities to develop skills in clinical trial design, integrative epidemiology, molecular biology, drug development, translational research, and related fields. The workshops also enable more experienced investigators to sharpen their skills, expand their expertise, and form collaborations among peers and leading cancer researchers from around the world. Many educational workshops and special courses are supported by grants from the National Cancer Institute and educational grants from corporate supporters.
Professional Development Opportunities
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is committed to the education, training, and professional development of cancer research investigators. The Professional Development Series of sessions is an essential component of the AACR Annual Meeting experience.
Under the leadership of Chairperson Brian Rivers, PhD, MPH, and the AACR Science Education and Career Advancement Committee, this series is a collaborative effort involving the Minorities in Cancer Research (MICR) Council, Women in Cancer Research (WICR) Council, and the Associate Member Council (AMC). These valuable sessions are available free of charge to AACR members who register for the Annual Meeting and offer important skills for investigators at all stages of their careers. Email [email protected] with questions.
2026 Professional Development Series of Sessions
