AACR to Host Inaugural International Meeting on Advances in Malignant Lymphoma

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will host its Inaugural AACR International Meeting: Advances in Malignant Lymphoma later this month in Boston. Presented in cooperation with the International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma (ICML), this program will provide a forum for discussion and brainstorming about how recent advances and emerging areas of lymphoma research hold enormous potential for transforming clinical care.

The meeting is designed to be highly interactive and presents a unique opportunity to engage with international leaders in lymphoma research. Topics to be discussed include immunotherapy, targeted therapy, CRISPR screening, liquid biopsy, and studying canine lymphoma to develop treatments that will benefit dogs and humans.

The program will feature keynote addresses from renowned cancer researchers:

On Friday, June 22, from 6-8 p.m. ET,

-Michael Caligiuri, MD, City of Hope National Medical Center and Past President of the AACR, will present a talk titled “Immunogenicity Predicts Prevention,” and
– Carl June, MD, University of Pennsylvania and member of the AACR Board of Directors, will present a talk titled “CAR T for Lymphoma and Beyond.”

On Tuesday, June 26, from 8-10 a.m. ET,

– James Allison, PhD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, will present a talk titled “Immune Checkpoint Blockade in Cancer Therapy: New Insights, Opportunities, and Prospects for Cures,” and
– Kenneth Anderson, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, will present a talk titled “Targeting Achilles Heels in Multiple Myeloma.”
