AACR to Publish Cancer Progress Report 2026 September 16 

PHILADELPHIA – The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will publish the AACR Cancer Progress Report on Wednesday, September 16.

Now in its 16th edition, the AACR Cancer Progress Report serves as a central component of AACR’s education and advocacy initiatives. Beyond presenting the latest data on cancer incidence, mortality, and survivorship, the report demonstrates the lifesaving impact of sustained federal support for cancer research. The AACR Cancer Progress Report 2026 will showcase major scientific advances achieved over the past year while commemorating 16 years of remarkable progress driven by innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and steadfast commitment to advancing cancer science through investments in the National Institutes of Health.

The report also includes stories from cancer survivors who have benefited from recent scientific breakthroughs, illustrating the real-world impact of cancer research.

Reporters will receive embargoed access to the report, official press release, and report graphics before publication. The report will be published at www.CancerProgressReport.org once the embargo lifts at 12:01 a.m. ET on Wednesday, September 16.
