Deadline Approaching: Reserve SABCS Housing by Monday, November 17

SAN ANTONIO – UT Health San Antonio and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will host the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium 2025 (SABCS) from December 9-12 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Credentialed news media interested in covering the symposium can request complimentary in-person or virtual registration.

HOUSING DEADLINE IS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17

MEDIA REGISTRATION

All journalists planning to cover the meeting must register through the SABCS public relations team via the form linked below to receive the embargoed press program and other important communications. Registration is required regardless of whether you are attending in person or virtually. 

Journalists must provide official press credentials and bylined coverage to register as press. Before requesting registration, please review the SABCS press registration policy. Journalists can request registration by filling out this form.

EMBARGO POLICY

Individuals registered as press for SABCS agree to abide by all embargoes. Please review the SABCS embargo policy.

Abstract titles are available now on the SABCS website. With the exception of those selected for the official SABCS press program, abstract text will be posted to the SABCS website at 3:30 p.m. CT/4:30 p.m. ET on Monday, November 24. Embargoes on those abstracts lift as soon as they are available online.

Abstracts selected for the official SABCS press program are embargoed until date and time of presentation, either at an official SABCS press conference or in a scientific session.

PRESS OPERATIONS

Media Badge Pickup at Registration Area in Main Entrance

Registered reporters can pick up badges in the registration area at the convention center’s main entrance starting at noon on Monday, December 8. There is a special booth designated for media badges. Once you arrive in the press room, check in at the front desk to receive a press ribbon.

Press Conferences from December 10-12 in Room 217D

Three press conferences will be held in Room 217D at the convention center and simultaneously broadcast via Zoom for virtual attendees. Press conferences will take place at the following times:

  • Wednesday, December 10
    7:15 a.m. CT
  • Thursday, December 11
    7:15 a.m. CT
  • Friday, December 12
    7:15 a.m. CT

Press Room Open December 9-12 in Room 217A-C

The press room will be located in Room 217A-C at the convention center. Hours of operation are as follows:

  • Tuesday, December 9
    12 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. CT
  • Wednesday, December 10
    6:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. CT
  • Thursday, December 11
    6:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. CT
  • Friday, December 12
    6:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT

Interview Space and Recording Policy

Journalists are welcome to film in the hallway in the immediate vicinity of the press room. There are also a limited number of private interview rooms available at the convention center that have a daily limit of 2 hours per outlet.
