Media Registration for San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium

The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) takes place from December 10-14 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. SABCS features the latest research in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of premalignant breast disease and breast cancer, including data from late-breaking clinical trials. The symposium attracts more than 7,000 basic scientists, physician-scientists, clinical investigators, breast care providers, and advocates from almost 90 countries. Abstracts not chosen for the press program are now available online.  

Media Registration

Online media registration for SABCS will remain open until Friday, December 6. Complimentary registration is available to members of the media who provide the proper credentials. To request registration, email Matthew Burns at [email protected]. 

Press Program

The press program will be announced as part of an embargoed press kit that will be distributed approximately a week prior to the first press conference. Press conferences will occur in Room 217D at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on the following dates and times:

• Wednesday, December 11, at 7 a.m. CT
• Thursday, December 12, at 7:30 a.m. CT
• Friday, December 13, at 7:30 a.m. CT

Those reporters covering remotely can attend these press conferences virtually via webcast. Webcast registration instructions will be provided in the press kit. 

The press office is located in Room 217A-C. The press office hours are as follows:

• Tuesday, December 10, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Wednesday, December 11, 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Thursday, December 12, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday, December 13, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Members of the media can pick up their badge, program, and other materials in the main registration area at the designated “PRESS REGISTRATION” window. 

Interview Space and Private Rooms
The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center has abundant space across from the main press office. Video crews often use this space to conduct expert interviews.
