Now Open: Media Registration for the 2022 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, Dec. 6-10

SAN ANTONIO – UT Health San Antonio and the American Association for Cancer Research will host the 2022 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), December 6-10, 2022. The symposium will be presented in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend in person or virtually. Registration for SABCS is complimentary for credentialed news media.

SABCS features the latest research in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of premalignant breast disease and breast cancer, including data from late-breaking clinical trials. Each year, the symposium attracts thousands of basic scientists, physician-scientists, clinical investigators, breast care providers, and advocates from around the world. The official SABCS press program will be announced at a later date.

Members of the media may register to attend in person in San Antonio or virtually. Journalists planning to cover the meeting must register through the SABCS public relations team via the form linked below to receive the embargoed press program and other important communications.

To register as press, journalists must provide:

  • Official press credentials such as a business card, editorial roster or masthead, international press card, or letter of assignment
  • Bylined coverage from a recent SABCS, or for first-time attendees, two examples of recent bylined health/medical/science coverage

Please review the full registration requirements and embargo policies here. Members of the media can request registration by filling out this form. Contact Kathleen Venango at [email protected] or 215-290-5408 with any registration questions.

Individuals registered as press for SABCS agree to abide by all embargoes. With the exception of those selected for the official SABCS press program, abstracts will be posted to the SABCS website November 21, 2022. Embargoes on those abstracts lift as soon as they are available online.

Abstracts selected for the official SABCS press program are embargoed until date and time of presentation, either at an official SABCS press conference or in a scientific session. Press program abstracts will be made publicly available once the embargo lifts.

For more information, please review the SABCS embargo policy.
