I am a medical oncologist and breast cancer researcher with a particular interest in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). My goal is to investigate potential mechanism(s) by which biology and obesity, which is prevalent in Black women, interconnect to result in TNBC and worse outcomes leading to cancer disparities in Black women. The ultimate goal being the development of interventional strategies, including clinical trials, to help close the disparity gaps that exist in breast cancer care.
