My long-term career objective is to continue to develop my independent research program in gastrointestinal cancer biology, health disparities, and microorganism-driven carcinogenesis.
Please share information about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted your research over the last two years.
Over the last two years, the pandemic has negatively impacted my subject recruitment (it has decreased whenever the number of cases has risen on the island) and it has delayed my planned experiments due to restrictions on the number of persons that can be in my lab to ensure social distancing. Since there is less personnel that can work in the lab at the same time, experiments have had to be delayed.
