Global Scholar-in-Training Award and Global Education Scholarship Eligible Country List
Applicants for the Global Scholar-in-Training Award and the Global Education Scholarship must be citizens or permanent residents of an eligible country and must currently reside in one of those countries. Citizens or permanent residents of an eligible country who are currently employed or pursuing training in a non-eligible country will not be considered. The AACR designs the Eligible Country List annually, and when considering eligibility, evaluates levels of official development assistance (OECD), income classifications (World Bank), and achievement in social and economic dimensions (UNDP).

The AACR is obligated to comply with U.S. laws and regulations regarding research and related transactions in countries subject to U.S. Government enforcement of economic and trade sanctions for particular foreign policy and national security reasons. Applicants who are citizens, permanent residents or are currently residing in a U.S. Government sanctioned country may be subject to restrictions for this award program.
