Celebrating Native American Heritage Month

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the AACR-Minorities in Cancer Research (MICR) Council would like to show their appreciation for the rich history and traditions, and to acknowledge the many contributions that Native Americans have made to society. Native Americans often face inequities in cancer prevention and care. The AACR and MICR strive to help eliminate health disparities and inequalities in underrepresented groups in the cancer research community through many initiatives. The MICR Council is the advisory body to the AACR leadership on issues of concern to minority investigators and is also responsible for spearheading the initiatives and organizing activities of MICR through its committees. Get involved and learn more about AACR-MICR efforts towards health equity.
