What do you value about your AACR membership?
As a new member attending the AACR for the first time, I was inspired by the organization’s unique ability to connect complex research methodologies with meaningful patient outcomes. As a postdoctoral researcher specializing in translational cancer research, my membership has already been invaluable in strengthening my technical expertise in IHC-based approaches through access to leading experts, innovative technologies, and cutting-edge scientific discussions. Beyond technical growth, AACR provides critical opportunities for mentorship, networking, and collaboration that will support my transition to becoming an independent scientist

As a postdoctoral fellow at the Sunnybrook Research Institute, I highly value AACR membership for its role in fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and professional growth. The association provides unparalleled access to high-impact research and a global network of experts, both of which are essential for advancing my work in radio-PDT-mediated drug delivery.

What do you value about your AACR membership?
I value AACR membership because it connects me to a community united by the mission that cancer research saves lives. AACR meetings give me opportunities to learn from leaders across basic, translational, and clinical cancer research, share my own work, and build meaningful professional connections. It reminds me that my research in AI and cancer immunology is part of a larger effort to improve outcomes for patients.

I value the learning experiences, networking opportunities, and professional growth I gain through AACR conferences, workshops, and webinars, along with being part of a community dedicated to advancing cancer research and medicine.

I particularly value opportunities to attend world-class research symposia, both to learn from and to connect with leading researchers and clinicians.

What do you value about your AACR membership?
Participating in the AACR Annual Meeting represents an important opportunity in my professional development as a cancer researcher focused on melanoma metastasis and tumor–immune interactions. My research integrates proteomics, extracellular vesicle biology, and spatial profiling to understand how tumors condition organ specific metastatic niches. Attending AACR allows me to engage with cutting edge science, gain exposure to emerging technologies, and critically evaluate new conceptual frameworks shaping cancer research.
AACR provides a unique platform to interact with leaders across basic, translational, and clinical oncology, fostering collaborations that are essential for accelerating the translation of laboratory discoveries into patient impact. Presenting my work and receiving feedback from a diverse scientific community helps refine my hypotheses, strengthen experimental rigor, and align my research with clinically relevant questions.
As an early career investigator working toward research independence, AACR is also a valuable environment for mentorship, networking, and career development. The meeting reinforces my commitment to innovative, team based, and patient centered cancer research, and motivates me to contribute meaningfully to advancing cancer prevention, diagnosis, and therapy.
