The AACR blog team recapped the opening and closing keynote presentations by Ronald Levy, MD, FAACR, and Michel C. Nussenzweig, MD, PhD. Levy offered a historical overview of monoclonal antibody treatments for lymphoma and discussed how antibodies continue to show promise as researchers explore radiolabeled antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, bispecific antibodies, and CAR T-cell therapy. Nussenzweig explored affinity and diversity in the antibody response and shared early work that showed antibody production could be modified through gene editing as a potential treatment for cancer. The post also features video interviews with Levy and conference chair Michael Green, PhD, who offered insight into the meeting’s key themes.
