Last Chance to Submit for 2026 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism
PHILADELPHIA – Journalists have less than one week to submit their stories for the 2026 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism. Each award is accompanied by a $5,000 cash prize.
SUBMIT A STORY
The deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, December 8. Submit a story on the myAACR platform.
ELIGIBILITY
Stories must have been published or broadcast for the first time between December 1, 2024, and November 30, 2025. Submissions will be considered in the following categories:
- Newspapers
- Magazines
- Online/Multimedia
- Television/Radio/Podcasts
All submissions must be in English or accurately translated into English. Additional eligibility requirements are outlined in the Application Instructions section on the AACR website.
ABOUT THE PRIZE
Awarded by the American Association for Cancer Research, this prestigious prize recognizes professional journalists who have produced accurate, informative, and compelling stories that enhance the public’s understanding of cancer, cancer research, cancer advocacy, or cancer policy in outlets targeting a lay public audience.
The 2026 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism presentation ceremony will take place during the AACR Annual Meeting 2026 in San Diego, April 17-22.
