BALTIMORE – The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), in association with the AACR Minorities in Cancer Research Council, will host the 18th AACR Conference on The Science of Cancer Health Disparities from September 18-21 in Baltimore, Maryland. Registration is complimentary for credentialed members of the media.
This meeting will take place as an in-person event and will not be live-streamed for virtual participation. Lecture sessions will be made available for on-demand viewing approximately 7-14 days after the meeting has concluded and will remain available until November 30.
This conference is dedicated to advancing the understanding of cancer health disparities that pose significant public health challenges and affect vulnerable populations. Reflecting this transdisciplinary field, experts in basic, translational, clinical, population, behavioral, computational, and community-based research will come together to exchange ideas, discuss the latest findings, and develop new research initiatives in the field of cancer health disparities.
The conference will include sessions on navigating the evolving landscape, exploring the connection between obesity and cancer, bridging the gap between genomics and social determinants, using artificial intelligence to combat cancer disparities, addressing environmental health disparities, and more.
