MAKING THE MOST OF THE AACR ANNUAL MEETING

This session highlighted how communications professionals can promote researchers from their institutions who are attending and presenting at the AACR Annual Meeting 2026 in San Diego. It also featured insights from two public relations professionals, Madeline Brophy, marketing content specialist and producer at Siteman Cancer Center, and Kim Polacek, national media manager at Moffitt Cancer Center, who shared practical strategies for preparing for the meeting and what a typical day on-site is like.

Stronger Together: Upcoming Opportunities for Collaboration with the AACR

September 3, 2025

This session provided an overview of key AACR initiatives planned for the remainder of the year, as well as opportunities for collaboration between the AACR and cancer centers. Initiatives discussed included the AACR Cancer Progress Report 2025, the inaugural AACR Pediatric Cancer Progress Report 2025, Rally for Medical Research Hill Day 2025, the AACR Conference on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities, and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.
