Abstract 1692: Racial and ethnic disparities in U.S. clinical trials in liver cancer in the last nineteen years

What are your long-term career objectives?

As a first-generation Mexican American hailing from a family of undocumented immigrants, I understand and hope to directly address the cultural and socio-economic barriers to quality oncological care. In particular, I hope to focus on increasing the recruitment of minorities in clinical trials for solid tumor cancers. My research also largely focuses on the genomic landscapes of GI cancers using AACR’s Project GENIE as well as better understanding surface antigens in rare exocrine pancreatic cancer.
