AACR To Host Several Conferences in September

PHILADELPHIA – The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will host several conferences in September. Registration for these meetings is complimentary for credentialed members of the media. These conferences are in-person events and will not be live streamed for virtual participation. Presentations from each meeting will be made available for on-demand viewing approximately 7-10 days after the meeting has concluded.

AACR Special Conference: Rethinking DCIS: An Opportunity for Prevention?
September 8-11, 2022, Philadelphia

This conference will utilize an interdisciplinary approach to explore the latest advances in the detection, biological understanding, risk assessment, and treatment of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).

AACR Special Conference: Pancreatic Cancer
September 13-16, 2022, Boston

This conference will address the latest developments in basic, translational, and clinical pancreatic cancer research.

15th AACR Conference on The Science of Cancer Health Disparities in Racial/Ethnic Minorities and the Medically Underserved
September 16-19, 2022, Philadelphia

This conference aims to advance the understanding of, and ultimately help to eliminate, the persistent cancer disparities that represent a major public health problem in the United States. The program will promote the exchange of novel ideas, discuss the latest findings in the field, and stimulate the development of new research on cancer health disparities.

MEDIA REGISTRATION

To register for in-person attendance or virtual access after the event, journalists must provide:

  • Official press credentials such as a business card, editorial roster or masthead, international press card, or letter of assignment
  • Bylined coverage from a previous AACR meeting. First-time attendees must provide two examples of recent bylined health/medical/science coverage in news outlets that meet the AACR’s criteria
  • Freelance journalists who have a letter of assignment should upload a copy of the letter to the registration form linked below
  • Members of the Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ) may register regardless of assignment and should upload proof of membership to the registration form linked below
