From the AACR Blog: The Cancer Aftermath of the 9/11 Attacks on First Responders

PHILADELPHIA – The 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks is this week. The official blog of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), Cancer Research Catalyst, has published a timely post about research investigating the relationship between the attacks and cancer, including a new study in the AACR journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention that found 9/11 responders were more likely than the general population to be diagnosed with two or more distinct, unrelated cancers.
