Fellows of the AACR Academy

Established in 2013, the AACR Academy recognizes distinguished scientists whose transformative discoveries have advanced cancer research and improved the understanding, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. Election as a Fellow of the AACR Academy is among the highest honors bestowed by the American Association for Cancer Research, recognizing individuals whose groundbreaking contributions continue to shape the future of the field.

The Fellows of the AACR Academy serve as a global network of scientific leaders who advance the AACR’s mission to prevent and cure all cancers through research, education, communication, collaboration, science policy and advocacy, and funding for cancer research.

The Fellows of the AACR Academy are led by the AACR Academy President, currently Elaine V. Fuchs, PhD (AACR Academy President, 2025-2027), and a Steering Committee composed of additional AACR Fellows who provide strategic guidance to AACR leadership on emerging scientific opportunities, public policy, and issues of importance to the global cancer community.

The 15th elected class of Fellows of the AACR Academy will be formally inducted on Friday, April 2, 2027 at the Fellows Induction Ceremony and recognized at the AACR Annual Meeting 2027 Opening Ceremony on Sunday, April 4, 2027.
