Changes and CancellationsChanges and cancellations can be made:
Your credit card will be charged one night’s room plus tax or your check deposit will be forfeited if you cancel your reservation less than 72 hours before your confirmed arrival date. If you fail to arrive on the date confirmed by AACR Housing, your credit card will be charged one night’s room plus tax or your check will be forfeited. All subsequent nights of the reservation will be cancelled.
Hospitality SuitesSuites are for sleeping purposes only and may not be used for meetings or events without prior written permission from AACR. Group ReservationsOrganizations wishing to hold a block of rooms must fill out the
Room Block Request Form. Exhibitors may request rooms in the AACR Room Block and must submit an Exhibitor Room Block Request Form or an Exhibitor Rooming List Form. Please adhere to all rules and regulations to facilitate processing. Confirmations will be emailed.

Rail TransportationAmtrak commuter trains link communities and travelers from as far away as Boston, New York, and Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. Amtrak operates seven days a week, 365 days per year. Tickets may be purchased at the Amtrak station. Taxi ServiceThe closest major airport to the Annual Meeting site, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), is approximately six miles from the Convention Center. The Metro is accessible from the terminal. Driving time from the airport to downtown Washington is approximately 10-15 minutes. Taxi fare is approximately $15-$20 one way.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is approximately 27 miles from the Convention Center. Taxi fare is approximately $60-$68. Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is about 30 miles from the Convention Center. Taxi fare is approximately $90-$100.

Public TransportationThe Metro and other regional train and bus information can be obtained by visiting the
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority website.
Complete information on transportation to Washington, D.C., and ground transportation to and from the airport as well as in Washington, D.C., will be included in future Annual Meeting publications. Beginning Saturday, April 1, through Wednesday, April 5, shuttle buses will be provided between the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and designated AACR Annual Meeting participating hotels. A list of hotels served by the shuttle service will be available online at a later date. Shuttle bus schedules will be posted in each hotel, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, and at the AACR Information Desks located throughout the Convention Center.
Assistance for International TravelersAn official letter of invitation is available through the online registration system. Contact the American Consulate in your country to review the current regulations for travel to the United States. Please begin the visa application process as early as possible.
