Nadeera De Silva, MBBCH, clinical researcher and oncologist at the MRC Cancer Unit, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, died in March 2016 at the age of 34. He was an associate member of the AACR.
Born in Sri Lanka, De Silva was a medical graduate of Gonville & Caius College of the University of Cambridge. He had been in the third year of his doctoral studies at the college at the time of his death.

He was a remarkable human being on every level. A tragedy and such a loss when so young and with so much more to give in medical science. Such an engaging and modest guy. A liaison I will not forget.
