Michael J. McKenna, PhD, affiliate member of the AACR, died June 11, 2017, at the age of 70.
McKenna was a toxicologist who worked in the laboratories of Dow Chemical Company and Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Company and as a consultant providing strategic services and operational assistance to companies and investment firms in the life sciences field. He was recently a principal at the consulting firm Navigator Life Science Advisory.
Born Oct. 9, 1946, in Buffalo, New York, McKenna received a bachelor’s degree in English from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, and a doctoral degree in toxicology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
