Margaret Hargreaves
Margaret Hargreaves, MS, PhD, an AACR member whose research focused on health disparities, died May 18, 2019, at age 81.
Kenneth R. Hess
Kenneth R. Hess, PhD, an AACR member and a statistician whose work helped support numerous cancer clinical trials, died July 26, 2019, at the age of 59.
Ariel Cahill Hollinshead Hyun
Ariel Cahill Hollinshead Hyun, PhD, a pioneering cancer researcher whose work contributed to the foundation of immunotherapy, died September 10, 2019, at the age of 90.
Waun Ki Hong
Waun Ki Hong, MD, FAACR, a past president of the AACR and a fellow of the AACR Academy, died January 2, 2019, at the age of 76.
Kurt J. Isselbacher
Kurt J. Isselbacher, MD, a renowned gastroenterologist and cancer center director, died July 18, 2019, at age 93.
Masaki Kitajima
Masaki Kitajima, PhD, an Active member of the AACR, died May 21, 2019, at the age of 74.
LaSalle Leffall
LaSalle D. Leffall Jr. MD, an esteemed surgeon and professor who went on to lead multiple national and international cancer organizations, died May 25, 2019, at age 89.
Henry Lynch
Henry T. Lynch, MD, FAACR, a pioneering geneticist whose work in identifying hereditary components of cancer led to groundbreaking advances against several cancer types, died June 2, 2019, at the age of 91.
John A. Mannick
John A. Mannick, MD, an Emeritus member of the AACR, died on October 13, 2019 at the age of 91. Dr. Mannick was the Chief of Surgery and the Moseley Professor of Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Jay M. McDonald
Jay M. McDonald, MD, an Emeritus member of the AACR, passed away on June 5, 2019, at the age of 75.
