Franco M. Muggia, MD, a renowned expert in ovarian cancer therapeutics, died September 8, 2021, at the age of 85.
Giorgio Parmiani
Giorgio Parmiani, MD, an internationally renowned immunologist and a longtime member of the AACR, died March 21, 2021, at the age of 82.
Henry C. Pitot III
Henry C. Pitot III, MD, PhD, a renowned researcher in the field of carcinogenesis, died June 9, 2021, at the age of 91.
Howard Sands
Howard Sands, PhD, a longtime member of the AACR, died March 18, 2021 at the age of 78.
Joseph V. Simone
Joseph V. Simone, MD, a former member of the AACR Board of Directors and an innovative leader of several of the nation’s preeminent cancer centers, died Jan. 21, 2021, at the age of 85.
Rajasekharan Somasundaram
Rajasekharan Somasundaram, PhD, an Active member of the AACR, died February 11, 2021, at the age of 64.
Sandra L. Spivey
Sandra L. Spivey, a passionate patient advocate and an Affiliate member of the AACR, died March 15, 2021, at the age of 68.
George F. Vande Woude
George F. Vande Woude, PhD, a world renowned molecular oncologist and a Fellow of the AACR Academy, died on April 13, 2021, at the age of 85.
Thomas A. Waldmann
Thomas A. Waldmann, MD, a leader in the field of immunology, died September 25, 2021, at the age of 91.
Michael J. Weber
Michael J. Weber, PhD, an AACR member and former director of the University of Virginia Cancer Center, died February 11, 2021, at the age of 78.
